Los Angeles BBQ Festival Comes Back Starting September 9th

Los Angeles has never been known as a BBQ city but that doesn’t mean that that Southern Californian’s don’t appreciate really good BBQ. The Los Angeles BBQ festival will be coming back to the Santa Monica Beach starting September 9th for five sessions and ends September 11’2011. Without travelling to another state this may be the best chance to taste some of the best BBQ you ever had. This 3 day event will feature authentic and delicious barbeque by some of the finest pitmasters that will be sure to satisfy even the pickiest critics.

The pitmasters in attendance will come from all over and offer a great menu. Texas Thunder BBQ from Dallas, Texas will be serving pulled pork sandwiches and coleslaw, Chicago BBQ Company from Burr Ridge, IL will have St. Louis Ribs and coleslaw, and L.C’s BBQ from Kansas City Missouri will be serving their own Kansas City spare ribs with baked beans. Butch’s Smack Your Lips BBQ from Mt. Laurel, NJ will have their Beef Brisket and coleslaw, Phil’s BBQ will have their tri tip sliders and Bourbon Q from Kentucky will have their famous pulled pork with jalapeno and cheddar tortilla. There will also be local pitmaster Big Mista BBQ from Los Angeles who will be serving up there beef brisket. Don’t forget desert, there will be banana pudding, red velvet cupcakes, and root beer floats.

Food is at the core but there will be live entertainment and over 20 beers on tap as well as wine and cocktails. Saturday, September 10th will showcase Country Gone Awry and Petty Cash and Sunday will feature SGT. Peppers Beatles Tribute and black Crystal Wolf Kids. General admission tickets are $60 and include bbq, drinks and desserts. The tickets are sold for each of the five sessions so make sure you come hungry for the Los Angeles BBQ Festival.
