The legendary Hollywood Museum is a great place to visit to relive childhood memories of movies and television. On November 7, 2012, the museum will open a “Salute to TV Memories” exhibit, especially for American television fans! The exhibit will focus on shows that have captivated fans over the past 60 years, with props and costumes from over 40 titles.
Fans of “I Love Lucy” will be able to see the original “For Red Heads Only” Makeup Room where Max Factor made a star out of Lucille Ball’s red hair. You can also relive “The Beverly Hillbillies” with original costumes from the show including Jed’s hat! The original Genie lamp from “I Dream of Jeannie” will also be on display.
Flash back to the days of “Baywatch” with Pamela Anderson’s iconic red bathing suit, and Paris Hilton’s dresses from “The Simple Life.” Costumes from the television shows “The Sopranos,” “The Carol Burnett Show,” “Mama’s Family,” “V.I.P.,” “The Sonny & Cher Show,” “Dynasty,” “Magnum, P.I.,” “Battlestar Galactica,” “Everybody Loves Raymond,” “Gomer Pyle: USMC” and much more can also be seen at the Hollywood Museum!
Starting in November, the Hollywood Museum will be themed “Holiday Hollywood Style.” Dr. Christmas decorated 18 Christmas trees to represent some of Hollywood’s greatest holiday movies. Movies featured include “Miracle on 34th Street,” “It’s A Wonderful Life,” “A Christmas Story,” “Meet Me in St. Louis,” “Home Alone,” and “White Christmas.” Celebrity ornaments will be on display with signatures from Lauren Bacall, Angela Lansbury, Heidi Klum, Paris Hilton, Brittany Murphy, and Phyllis Diller along with many others.
