If you are staying in hotels near Universal CityWalk for the holidays, come celebrate Grinchmas at Universal Studios! You can celebrate the holiday season with real snow in a winter playground with famous celebrities right here in Hollywood. Universal CityWalk will also host daily concerts of live holiday music along with other festivities all month.
At Universal Studios, you can play in real snow with the whole family and sing along with the Whos as Whoville comes alive on the Backlot. On select days, celebrities will read Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas before the lighting of the Grinchmas tree. Celebrities reading this year include Nia Vardalos from My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Yvette Nicole Brown and Danny Pudi from NBC’s “Community,” and Dot Marie Jones from Fox’s “Glee”. This year, Max to the Rescue: Have a Heart Adoption Fair will return to Universal Studios Hollywood in an effort to find homes for sheltered dogs on December 14-15.
Highlights of Universal Studios’ CityWalk include a large Christmas tree with millions of choreographed, pulsing LED lights to guide Santa. The tree‘s lights will rock to the music and lights of five towers. On select weekends until December 23, you can see the tree come to life during the Holiday Elf Show every hour after 5pm. Hollywood’s Rock n’Roll Santa will be visiting his new landing pad at Fountain Court daily until December 23 to pose for photos listen to kid’s wishes. With dozens of shops, you can also find something for everyone on your holiday shopping list at Universal CityWalk.
On select weeknights and Saturdays from 7pm to 10pm and on Sunday nights from 6pm to 9pm, there will be live holiday music playing in Universal CityWalk. For a full list of performers, click here.
